Constipation

Ooooh Noooo, I said it, CONSTIPATION.  Most people don't even know that they are constipated.  It's just the thought of talking about our Poo!  Constipation is actually just not having 1-3 easy bowel movements a day.  These bowel movements should move easily and quickly.  Not a 30 minute trip to the bathroom with your favorite novel. Bread, cheese, salt, refined sugar, white flour, candy, cookies, pastries, carbonated beverages, alcohol, processed foods, and fried foods can all exacerbate constipation. . But there are many foods that help to maintain regularity including fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh juices, prunes, prune juice, whole grains, sprouts, fibrous food, water, herb tea, essential fatty acids (such as olive oil, avocado, and fish oil), and lemon or lemon water.  In my next blog I will give you information on other supplements that can be used to help the digestive tract and relieve constipation.  Colonics for someone who is constipated is a huge relief almost immediately.  We always recomend that you try everything naturally that you can, but cleaning your colon and keeping it clean is going to have a huge impact on your health for life.

The importance of Colonics during a cleanse

Quite often we find ourselves feeling the need to do a fast, a cleanse or any type of detox. These are all great ideas and I recomend everyone try it at least once to not only clean the body but to also clear the mind and soul. When we do these cleanses we often believe that just making the effort to take the capsules or juice the veggies is all we need to do. After all, isn't this enough work in itself already? Yes, it may be work, but the effects are so much better when combined with a colonic. The open system or LIBBE as we call it does bowel training (when using bowel training protocol), it excersizes the colon (which is a muscle) and cleans the colon. When doing this you open the eliminatory pathway for all of your organs to release toxins. So if you are cleansing and trying to get rid of toxins this speeds up the process. If you release toxins that your body is trying to get rid of, you then free up the energy that your body would be using trying to do the same thing. You now will have much more energy for yourself so you won't feel so lethargic and beat down. It is recomended that you do at least 3 during a cleanse. One at the beginning to "jump start" the process. One in the middle to keep the flow of toxins moving out of your body and one on the last day (or as close as you can) to get rid of the any toxins left that may be on their way out before you start re-introducing your body to foods again. You can do them daily depending on the length of the cleanse. If you are doing them daily during your cleanse a probiotic daily is recomended.
